The Atlanta International School is one of the city’s premier private schools. This school houses grades kindergarten through twelfth grade with an additional focus on foreign language emersion. The campus consists of multiple buildings all located in the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta.

The new Atlanta International School – Primary School Learning Center consisted of a three-story, 33,000 square feet. addition that adjoins to the existing primary school as well as the existing library. The new building will boast twenty-one additional classrooms, outdoor classrooms/courtyard space, flex spaces, shared work areas, and makerspaces. The project will also add a new face to the campus by addition of a brand-new curtain wall pavilion/entrance into the school. The scope of the project also includes a new cooling tower that will not only supply the new building, but also the existing buildings in the surrounding area.

Additionally, the school gained 9,000+ square foot courtyard, that added even more outdoor classroom spaces. Finally, the Primary School Learning Center project added a new cafeteria in place of the second floor of the existing library.
This building was completed throughout the school year while classes were still in session.

This required precise coordination to ensure that the flow of carpool and the student’s learning experience was uninterrupted. This project did include preconstruction services and was delivered via a CM at Risk with a GMP.
